FlyMU ("FlyMU", "we", "us") operates the website flymu.net and the FlyMU game client (together, the "Service"), a fan-made private server for the game MU Online. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Account information — the email address and username you register, and a securely hashed form of your password (we never store your password in plain text).
Google sign-in — if you choose "Continue with Google", Google provides us your email address, basic profile (name), and a Google account identifier. We do not receive your Google password.
Game accounts & gameplay — the in-game account names you create (up to five) and the character/gameplay data associated with them.
Technical data — IP address, device/browser information, and connection logs, used to operate the Service and prevent abuse.

2. How we use your information

To create and authenticate your account and let you log in to the game without re-typing credentials.
To provide, maintain, and improve the game and website.
To protect the Service — preventing cheating, fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
To communicate with you about your account or important service changes.

3. Cookies & local storage

We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in (a session token). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it where necessary to run the Service (for example, our hosting and authentication infrastructure), or where required by law. Google sign-in is governed by Google's own privacy policy.

5. Data security & retention

Passwords are stored using strong one-way hashing (argon2). We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Contact).

6. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your web identity and its linked game accounts.

7. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
